Lands Phones - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

My first guess is this button may be programmed as a message waiting indicator light for ext 1499. Go to the physical desk location of ext 1499 and see if the message light is on. Clear the message waiting and the companion appearance of this line on your phone should clear. Hope this helps.

If you have no messages in your mailbox then someone has accidentally sent you a message from their phone set. You can usaully clear this by using the options in the display to delete all messages or try these feature codes

The Feature button is the gray button that looks like it has a globe on it located under the display.

Press Feature #65
or Feature #1

I think you are asking if Reverse Phone lookups are useful - of course they are!
Perhaps you missed a phone call and don't recognize the number. Use a reverse phone lookup to try to find out who called you. There are many online resources for such searches - the most reliable are paid-for.
However, you could try typing the full phone number into Google's search box. You'll probably see the number listed in dozens of different phone directories.
If the number is attached to a business, that business (usually) will show up in the first five search results.
If the number is attached to a private household, the address most likely will not show up attached to the number. However, if that person has placed their number anywhere else on the Web, perhaps at a social networking site, then that listing will show up.
