Yes, the reason for this is that the BD-Receiver/TV button was pressed twice. This button has 2 modes of operation depending on the color it flashes when you press any button on the remote. If the BD-Receiver/TV button flashes green then it is in TV mode and if it flashes orange then it is in BD Receiver mode. The way to switch between the 2 modes is simple but not intuitive and easily not noticed. Simply press the BD-Receiver/TV button it will light-up green or orange, depending on what mode it is in, for about 1 second. The trick is to quickly press it again BEFORE the light goes out. When this is done the color of the light will change. If it was green it will change to orange and vice versa. Rember, Orange = BD Receiver function Green = TV

There might be a diagram but I haven't seen any belt fitting diagrams at all, merely the odd exploded view. Replacing cassette belts is as much fun as a jigsaw puzzle - you keep removing screws and parts until you can fit the belt and then you reverse the process...
