Irons - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

First let me say I HATE AUTO SHUT OFF!!! It sounds like it has wore out. the computer part that tells it when to shut off it not working. It would be cheaper to buy a new one vs fixing yours. If I were you, find an older iron that has LOTS of steam vents and NO AUTO SHUTOFF at your local goodwill, thrift store or garage sale.

I had the same problem. The solution was quite simple actually. I took the iron apart. The problem was that one wire got loose. I soldered it back where it belongs and now the iron works again.
CAUTION! This procedure should be done by a qualified electrician only!

You are probably not holding the iron the right way! Don’t hold the iron upside down, or don’t put too much water in at a time. Make sure that the heat on iron is turned up hot enough to burn the water fast enough so it doesn’t leak.
