If it's like mine, it probably won't charge. First time I let it run down, it was screwed, a real POS.

3 to 4 ounces for first fill. You actually unscrew the oil gauge with the little wrench that should have come with the tool and add the oil there. After putting the cap back on, hold the tool upright to check the oil level. Check daily and add oil when the level drops to 1/4 when checking as described above.

kango 950 was the hammer drill version. Usually when they stopped hammering they were due for a rebuild. These units have a aluminum piston that rides in a steel tube striker. When the 2 rubber piston rings wear out you will get the described problem. The Kango's use a special tan grease so you cannot just yank it apart and replace the 2 rings with o-rings and grease. I had to rebuild 15 900 and 950's because the previous mechanic used the wrong grease. https://project21designs.com/kango-950-parts
The link sells grease & rings.

You can try to watch this video: https://youtu.be/udj28_tLJvU

Dont forget to lubricate o-rings when mounting parts in. For flat x rings you can hold then in hot water to make them softer and thrn put ring in a place

You need to check armature gear it can be damaged. Connection rod can be broken or you just need new o-rings and grease

A dangerous work wear safety glasses and a
leather apron because there could be metal pieces come off the parts , make first the part the disassembled toolholder hot with a large gas burner and in a bench vise with a hammer Interim anything like WD40 spray. sometimes it could be a long prolonged work if you have inserted an invalid chisel.

181490-7 grease 30g 1 pcs complete be shure there are no cured o-rings or bad gaskets .

188015-8 its the maintenance kit for the service it contains already this 30 grams grease, where come 60 grams advise ? i like also to use some more grease by this heavy kind of hammers. But tools like Hilti with liquid (oil) lubrication and very tight tolerance ball bearings if there is to much (turmopol) oil used it will be damaged, and too little oil also its calculated. I cannot give garantee that 60 grams are advised by a makita service, if you order a maintenace kit ask the seller about why it only contains 30grams. The information to use 60 grams ? doubt.

254031-3 pos14 part inlay key can be damaged pos 11 drive rod 315146-2 can broken IF mechanical damage or dried out by leaking gasket / orings.
For better repair use after a repair of some parts an maintenance kit 193394-1 If the working hours are on it, but also after an repair on other parts because leaking tools can be dried out and give cured o rings in a very short time by building up overheat temperature inside and will not build up pneumatic power it will not do the job and is not good for physical strain.
