Sounds like you may have a fan that is not working. High temperature can be a number of things from your CPU not cooling off due to poor air circulation or accumulation of dust on the inside of your PC to your hard drive getting too hot for either the same reason or an internal mechanical issue. Open it up and take a look (while it is unplugged.) Sometimes you can clear out the dust and air ports using compressed canned air to blow everything out. I suggest you do it outside or the next step will be vacuuming the dust.
