Cats - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

I was asking myself the same question when I saw my cat's reaction to catnip. She loves the stuff, but I was a little concerned that it could be addictive or harmful. After doing some research I found an article on Friendly Claws that discussed catnip at full length. It was useful to find out that catnip can be used to encourage cats to scratch their own posts as opposed to furniture!

It also mentioned that catnip is completely safe and not at all harmful to cats. It's not like a **** or anything, it's just a plant from the mint family that cats have a strange reaction to. As far as I can tell, there's nothing much to worry about when it comes to catnip. According to the article I read, some cats are not even affected by catnip so it's probably not as potent as it may seem.

In order to lessen your cat's hairballs you should look for treats that contain petrolatum, mineral oil, vegetable oil or an equivalent intestinal lubricant.

Maybe jealousy. I fix jealousy by catching my cat when it does stuff like that and giving it several kisses. For my cat, kissing has worked for years and works every time.

Get a dog.

Find a local zoo, get a small amount of lion manure, put some in baked bean can either side of the door. Alpha cat aroma will keep cats away.

Buy a kids Super Soaker water rifle.

Cat food is easily more expensive than dog food, due to dogs being biologically capable of processing vegetable proteins whereas cats cannot. This means cat food SHOULD only contain animal protein and is thus more expensive.

The Pounce website doesn't list them. However, there's a "contact us" button at the bottom of the page, and you might ask them if someone still sells them. Or you can request that they start offering it again...

Hello, do You try this three things:
1. If there is no power to your Smart Scoop®, make sure that the AC power supply is plugged into a working outlet.
2. Next, make sure that the breakaway power cord is connected properly.
3. Finally, verify that the clutch is in the locked position (turn it counter-clockwise). Smart Scoop® will NOT operate if the clutch is not locked.
