I'm not sure why you want to do a factory reset, but I don't do a factory reset on my phone unless I don't mind losing all my data.
however, as the iPhone is a computer in its own right, I do what I call a "memory reset" about once a month to keep it working better.
to do this, you must hold the Home button and the on/off button, both at the same time, for at least 10 seconds or until the Apple logo appears. This method is not supposed to cause any loss of data, just clean out the memory.

Hi Lance,

Is your touch screen not working?

Hold down the power and home button until you see the apple logo.

If that does not work please answer these questions: does the screen light up? Does the home button work, and lastly, does the finger print reader work?

I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

As long as you can still move within in the iphone you can manually shut it down:

Go to "General" and scroll all the way to the bottom, then tap on the "Shut Down"

I would connect it to your computer, download the latest OS from Apple and that should fix it.

The iPhone can be used to connect to the internet thru a wifi connection.
just open Settings and clic on Wifi. The available wifi networks will appear if there are some any, and you should be able to connect to one of them if given the correct password. Some stores and restaurants offer free (but slow) wifi that don't require a password. They may ask that you accept their 'Terms of use' which will show up when you use Safari the first time you try to access a website.

to delete your instagram account, you'll have to use a browser to do so. The app doesn't give you the option to delete your account. When you go onto on a browser and login, go to account setting and on the bottom, there should be a "Delete Account" button.

  1. Take a simple paper clip and make it straight.
  2. Use the video below to locate the SIM tray.
  3. Insert the pin into the small hole and push it slightly until the tray pops-out
  4. Insert or remove the SIM card from the tray. If inserting, make sure the notched corner aligns. The SIM card only fits in one way.
  5. Reinsert the SIM tray into the iPhone.
