When using the chrono the hand doesnt reset to 12oclock position.
Please help.
Best regards,
Kenneth.
Solution #3 (Posted by Guest on 5 Mar 08) is spot on. Quick and easy method to reset the chrono hands (it was not in my Seiko manual).
Interestingly, this can also be used to set the chrono ahead (or behind--with a little math) for offset timing measurements.

On the Seiko alarm watches (3 dials, minute timer at the top, large second hand that moves by 5ths of a second, alarm/second dial at the bottom)....Pull the crown out to the second stop. Hold the top (timer) button in until the minute timer moves, then reset it to 0. Push the bottom (reset) button in until large split second hand moves to zero. Push crown in and you are done!

This problem is easy to fix... theres a way to recalibrate the watch just by pushing the buttons...

Pull out the crown stem (the stem you use to adjust the date and hour/minute hands) to the second click. Press the top-right button to adjust the chronograph minute hand or the top-left button to adjust the chronograph second hand (these buttons might be the other way around from what I remember). Once they're both set to the correct position, return the crown stem to its normal position.

Old question but updated answer. A lot of the newer Seikos have a "multi-mode" setup function when you pull the crown all the way out (2 clicks). Press both buttons down for "alarm" mode, press them again to calibrate the "minutes" hand for the stopwatch, and then a 3rd time to calibrate the "seconds" hand for the stopwatch. These instructions aren't listed anywhere and I found the combination purely by chance!

That was the answer but I can't rate it the normal way so I rated it this way. 4 stars!

the second hand does not reset correctly to 12
I have the same problem, Also the micro second hand resets to the number 1 and the minute & hour hands reset to 12:10. Any idea how to reset all three?
