SOURCE: the scrren keeps saying c

The drum life errors refer to how much use is left on the printer ink cartridges. They're usually followed by a percentage. The tray 1 error might be a paper out error.

Check the HP forums for this problem, there may be some kind of 'secret' reset routine that must be done to clear the error from memory. It could also be that whatever element controls the power to the fuser failed.
Curious: did you check the original fuser to verify that it had failed?  Since the problem is still there, the first fuser may not be bad at all. They are in essence a resistive heater that could be checked for continuity with any multimeter.

SOURCE: Error keeps popping code 563K drum life. Replaced

I have used over 25 of these printers and retired 2 of them for this reason. Try compressed air and clean very well. If it does not work order an new rebuilt one from comp usa for less than the cost of a 1 5000 count ink refill and keep all of your current insides as replacement parts.

SOURCE: a user has to keep pressing the button to keep it

Just do this to reset the drum life counter since you just install a new one. Ive had this issue with multiple brothers around here on multiple parts ie.... drum, belt, toners.

  1. Press the or - button to choose "Machine Info".
  2. Press OK to proceed to the next menu level, and then press the or - button to choose
    "Reset Parts Life".
  3. Press OK, and then press the button to choose ("Reset Drum").
  4. Press OK two times.

E000020-01a2 showing this error

This an error code for the yellow color. The E020 is related to toner or drums. The 01 is for yellow but my book doesn't have the a2 part. How long has it been since the yellow drum has been changed? It's good for about 40,000 prints. Go into service mode and go to copier, display, dens, then misc. This will give you the approximate life of each color drum as expressed as a percentage of life. Hope this helps.

My brother DCP 7055 shows eror replace toner

Some Brother laser printers have separate consumables - the toner cartridge and the drum unit. From time to time you may need to replace only the drum unit and not the toner cartridge.

The error LED lights up, or an error message shows on a flat screen panel, when the drum unit is near the end of its working life. Use the drum unit until you have a print quality problem, then replace the drum unit with a new one.

I have this model printer (brother mfc-7840W) and i'm getting an error on the screen-it says Drum Error. See troubelshooting and maintenance chapter in the user manual

If you have the manual follow the steps for trouble shooting.
It will tell you to remove the drum, remove toner, clean corona wire and reinstall. If that does not solve the issue it will recomend replacing the drum. You can check your drum life by going to menu- press machine info, choose option 3 drum life and press ok. This will show you the remaining percentage of your drum if the number shows less than 25% replace the unit.
If it shows more than 50% you can reset the drum counter allowing the machine to read it as a new unit.( Bare in mind this will change the usage meter back to 100%, you will have to keep an eye out for print defects or light pages as this will signal the end of the drum life) to reset page counter remove the drum from the machine, with the front door open press Clear/back until the lcd displays reset drum yes? no? press 1 for yes and reinstall drum. The machine will cycle until ready; if this still has not cleared the message you will need to contact brother for a manual reset or service.
