Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

SOURCE: TV suddenly doesn't respond to Sony remote & power button on Satellite remote.

I am having the same problem with the "initial setup" screen flashing repeatedly/ intermittently. It's not a problem with the remote. In the research I have done online, it seems as though this is a common/known problem with the Wegas that will require a service visit. Apparently the problem is a defective receiver chip. The best thread I found is at: http://www.agoraquest.com/viewtopic.php?topic=15393&forum=34&start=0&select_page_number=1 I've seen some speculation that it is caused by windex or cleaning fluid dripping down when the screen is cleaned and corroding one of the internal components. That's not applicable in my case, since I always just clean the screen with a microfiber dusting cloth. So, I guess I will be calling a repairman and spending $$$ to fix as it is now flashing up so often as to be unwatchable. Ridiculous, I think, given that my TV is only 3 years old!!

SOURCE: cannot change input source for tv

i would try the abvious first, unplugg the tv from the ac outlet and wait for a few seconds then try turning tv on see if the problem is solved, if not it might be that the key board panel needs replacing.

SOURCE: TV doesn't respond to the remote control...can't change channels

You have to find out if the remote is sending out the infrared signal to the TV remote receiver or not, you can test that by pointing the remote at the digital camera, you should see flashing light on the camera screen when any one of the remote button is pushed (digital camera can detect infrared light). If get the flashing light then the problem is in the TV remote sensor.

Lots of modern electronics can be repaired by simply unplugging the AC power from the outlet and leaving it unplugged for 24 hours before plugging it back in.
Explanation... modern electronic devices are never truly "OFF" unless the power is completely removed. A logic state will get stuck and the easiest way to un-stick it is remove the power from the device long enough to discharge all of the capacitors on all the circuit boards.

Hisense TV model #40H5 won't respond to remote or buttons on TV.Ive tried changing Input, channel, adjusting volume & turning TV off.

Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check it by pressing all the keys. You can detect the presence of infra-red emission from the remote control, using a cell-phone camera. If you wish to get more details about how to check a remote control, please visit this site. One among the posts has details about it. In some cases, the remote control might need to clean.

My tv is on the photo screen and can't get it back to normal tv. I've tried everything and nothing has worked

The source button on your remote should cycle thru the various inputs. If it doesn't respond make sure the lock button (child lock) hasn't been pushed and engaged on the remote.

Hello, I recently purchased a Hisense LCD TV - model LCD42V68PCA. It has a USB drive plug-in but I cannot seem to get it to respond. I inserted it but nothing happens. Do you have any suggestions? Thank...

Hi Mr Baker,
If you go through the user manual of your TV you will not find USB in the input list. So this TV does not support USB input. The USB port is for software updates. I hope it helps.
