I have a vizio e550i-B2 that has a bad picture. Wondering if the problem is a bas power board?

I assume you mean BAD power board...the power supply is the only board that wouldn't case your issue..chances are you have some bad LED's in the panel, in time the set will get to where it won't come on at all, you can take it apart and find the bad lamps and replace those strips if your somewhat mechanically inclined, be really careful handling the panel as if its broke then all is lost

As a rule you may have a bad vertical IC and this set will shut the picture down to protect the picture tubes. Second most of all have a horizontal deflection problem. An open coil, bad resistor, a bad electrolytic capacitor, a retrace cap or diode. Maybe a bad ground on the horizontal transformer. I would guess it is in the horizontal deflection. So the the second rule would be my first concern. Take this baby to the doctor and be sure to ask them to warrant the work, so you don't have to pay again for a second repair!

My lcd monitor loses the picture. it is still on

Sounds like the bulb in your LCD screen is going bad, or the LCD inverter or cable is going bad.

If moving the screen back and forth causes the LCD screen to show a picture normally, but intermittently, then the LCD cable is probably bad.

My tv screen hv179 has sound no picture,

While the TV is on, take a flashlight and shine it on the TV, close enough to attempt to see any picture. If you see picture then your inverter board is bad. If there is a backlight but no picture then your video board is bad.

My power shot s410 is not showing picture, just garble lines

If you are talking about the picture viewing on your computer then your sensor is bad. If you are talking about when you are taking pictures and viewing them on your camera but the picture shows up ok when you load them then your lcd is bad. If your camera is new then you got a bad batch.

Display Problem

Try connecting an external monitor if this also shows a "bad" picture then probably the graphics chip on the laptop is faulty.

Bad picture

You have a bad picture tube or a bad driver signal that drives the CRT. Could be a bad capacitor in the boost voltage circuit also. if you have no TV repair experience, contact an Authorized Sony repair center to have a look and assist you in the repair of this TV set. Good Luck
