Check the remote control for its infra-red emission. Check it with fresh batteries. Check by pressing all the buttons on it; and see whether all of it generates infrared signal while pressing. If it is found OK, check and replace the infrared sensor inside the TV. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Dstv remote not working on any blue dials? Two tv's in separate rooms, one pvr decoder. Only the red dial works on both tv's & both remotes are working & both tvs responding properly.

Is this a newly installed system? If both tv's are responding to the same remote setting (red in case), it means both tv's are set to the same channel. The tv that is connected to the decoder directly (via AV cables, I presume) is supposed to respond to if the remote is set to red. In order for the second tv to respond when the remote is set to blue, you need to tune the second tv until you find the picture of tv2 (the decoder transmits both tv1 and tv2 on the RF/coaxial output and it seems that your remote tv is tuned to tv1 instead of tv2).

Tv says receiver is not on and do not respond to remote control

Hi Jackiewes928, I apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced. It is my pleasure to assist you today. I understand that the only channel you are currently getting is channel 116 and that your remote is not responding. Do any buttons at the top light up on the remote when you try to change channels? If so, what button lights up in red or green? if any button other the SAT button lights up this means that the remote is not on SAT mode and this would be why is not responding. In order to put the remote in SAT mode press the SAT button for 3 seconds. Once you do this try using the remote. If you need further assistance please feel free to reach me directly at kimberly.escobar@dish.com

My decoder - dsd 1131 does not respond to his remote control.Ive checked the batteries..they are ok.

Don't worry about it. You have mistakenly pressed Shift + exit. What you need to do is to press Shift + i. What you have done is used by the people using two decoder. They use it to switch between the two decoders.

Kdc 619 was in a car i just purchased. people at car lot claim noknowledge of a code or remote. i cant use it but if i can make it woek i wud b very happy.

the code is only available with kenwood service center. --------try this method as follows :-- KENWOOD SECURITY CODE CLEAR procedure

These codes are applicable for all Kenwood radios that do not have DVD or DVD screens located on unit.

Your radio will require one of the following procedures.

Type 1
During the code request mode, while holding the DISP key depressed, press and hold the Volume UP or DOWN key for 3 seconds

(so that “…” disappears).
Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 2
Press the "Auto" button and "Track up" on face of radio at the same time. The four dash lines ( . . . . ) should "disappear".

Then using your remote enter your code.

Type 3
Model# DPX-4020 and DPX-4030
Press and hold the 1 then the 6 preset key (preset keys are the buttons on face of radio for storing you "favorite" radio

stations). "C" should display.
Then using your remote, enter your code.

Enter your number from the remote control unit. Your code number is 5227 (KCAR)

* Press numeric key “5” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key on the remote
* Press numeric key “2” ( 3 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key on the remote
* Press numeric key “2” ( 1 time ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key on the remote
* Press numeric key “7” ( 2 times ) and press the Track UP/Next Track key on the remote

The security is canceled and the set enters the TUNER mode.
---------------- if this does not solve then kenwood service center is the last option. -------- This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

My remote worked on my tv and now it won't...I think it got decoded...how do I fix it

Here you go. This will work with most all universal remote controls. If you don't have the code do the following:
Automatic Programming
With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device. Although this method can be more time-consuming, it eliminates the need to look up codes and enter them manually.

1. Turn off the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control
(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until POWER INDICATOR illuminates. It should take a couple of seconds for the light to remain solid. The remote control is in programming mode.

3. Press and release power button. The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode.

4. Press CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down repeatedly until the device turns on.

5. When the device turns on, press OK to store the code.

Note:
• To exit without storing the code, press BACK.
• T he unit will search for the next code or the previous code if you press
CHANNEL up or CHANNEL down after the device turns on. (go slow you need to press OK when the TV turns on) if you mess up turn TV off and start over.
6. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.
