Question about Televison & Video
There are two TV's that respond properly to two working dstv pvr remotes. tv1 is supposed to only respond to the remote on a red dial and tv2 to the remote that is on the blue dial. tv1 is connected to the pvr decoder directly and tv2 uses a mouse. tv2 only responds to a remote on the red dial. it won't respond to a remote on the blue dial, like it should. I have restarted the decoder, unplugged and replugged the mouse, but nothing has helped.
Is this a newly installed system? If both tv's are responding to the same remote setting (red in case), it means both tv's are set to the same channel. The tv that is connected to the decoder directly (via AV cables, I presume) is supposed to respond to if the remote is set to red. In order for the second tv to respond when the remote is set to blue, you need to tune the second tv until you find the picture of tv2 (the decoder transmits both tv1 and tv2 on the RF/coaxial output and it seems that your remote tv is tuned to tv1 instead of tv2).

Testimonial: "Hi, yes it seems they both were set to the same channel. I later phoned the DSTV office in my area and ran a test as per instruction by phonecall, but it did not respond as expected in the test and there turned out to be no simple solution, thus we had someone come in and disconnect, reconfigure and reconnect everything. Long process indeed. Their leaving statement was that the the technician who had installed it had missed a minor detail which later lead to such problems. But it has not happened again thankfully. Thanks"

leave the tv disconnected for a while because if you keep messing with it like my kids did and it will cause the bulb inside to burn out and will not even be worth fixing

To change one of your TV with another brand is not a wise decision indeed.
Well, Your TV has a remote sensor in the front side. Try to places both TV on opposite position. Otherwise use the used batteries on both of your TV remote commander. This will reduce its signal.

Hi, Cheri Torres with DISH Network Customer Service here. Icame across your question and wanted to see if I could help. It sounds like youmay need to either readdress your TV4 remote to your 322 DISH receiver or youcould possibly have receivers for TV2 and TV4 mixed up. Since your TV4 has "Pressselect to watch TV" on the screen you can check both of your receivers andwhich ever receiver has the TV2 blue light off is the receiver this TV runs offof. If this is not the case and you are positive that the TV4 does run off the322 you will want to take the remote to the receiver box location in order toreaddress it. I will list here for you the instructions for readdressing theremote to the receiver box. I hope you find all this information useful and ifyou have any other questions or this does not fix the issue you are experiencingfeel free to email me at Cheri.Torres@Dishnetwork.com. Thanks and have a greatday!
