Its a 1999 chevy tahoe. Changed fuel pump twice.

Could be the pressure regulator on the fuel rail. Pull the vacuum line off the regulator and check it for fuel contamination. There should not be gas in the line. If there is fuel in that line the regulator is bad and needs replaced.

You should have a test port on the Fuel Supply rail, use a tool from a local auto parts "Tool Loaner program" where you can borrow tools for free,w/a deposit of course,then follow the steps provided;

MPI Fuel System Pressure Test

The MPI fuel system used in vehicles equipped with a 4.OL engine employs a vacuum balanced pressure regulator. Fuel pressure should be approximately 55-69 kPa (8-10 psi) lower with the vacuum line attached to the regulator than with the vacuum line disconnected. System fuel should be 214 kPa (31 psi) with the vacuum line connected to the regulator and 269 kPa (39 psi) with the vacuum line disconnected. CAUTION: Some fuel may be discharged when connecting fuel gauge to fuel rail.
  1. Connect a 0-414 kPa (0-60 psi) fuel pressure gauge to test port pressure fitting on fuel rail (Fig. 7).
  2. Remove vacuum line from pressure regulator.
  3. Start the vehicle.
  4. Note gauge reading. With vacuum line disconnected, fuel pressure should be approximately 269 kPa (39 psi).
  5. Connect vacuum line to pressure regulator. Note gauge reading. Fuel pressure should be approximately 214 kPa (31 psi).
  6. If fuel pressure is not approximately 55-69 kPa (8-10 psi) higher with vacuum line removed from regulator, inspect pressure regulator vacuum line for leaks, kinks or blockage. CAUTION: Fuel pressure will rise to as much as 655 kPa (95 psi) when the fuel return tine is pinched shut, shut engine down immediately after pinching oft fuel return line.
  7. If fuel pressure is low, momentarily pinch shut the hose section of the fuel return line. If fuel pressure remains low, inspect the fuel supply line, fuel filter, and fuel rail inlet for blockage. If fuel pressure rises replace fuel pressure regulator.
  8. If fuel pressure is above specifications, inspect the fuel return line for kinks and blockage.

Capacity Test

  1. Remove the cap from the pressure test port in the fuel rail.
  2. Connect a 0-414 kPa (0-60 psi) fuel pressure gauge to the pressure fitting on the fuel rail (Fig. 7).
  3. Start the vehicle. Pressure should be approxi- mately 214 kPa (31 psi) with the vacuum hose connected to the pressure regulator and 269 kPa (39 psi) with the vacuum hose removed from the pressure regulator.
  4. If the pressure is not to specification, check the following before replacing the fuel pressure regulator:
  • 4a - Inspect the fuel supply and return lines/hoses for kinks or restricting bends
  • 4b - Check the fuel pump flow rate. A good fuel pump will deliver at least 1 liter of fuel per minute with the fuel return line pinched off. If the fuel pump does not pump adequately, then inspect the fuel system for a plugged fuel filter or fuel pump inlet filter (sock). Fuel pump flow rate can be done by connecting one end of an old A/C gauge hose to the fuel test port on the fuel rail and inserting the other end of the hose into a container of at least 1 liter capacity. Run the fuel pump by installing a jumper wire into diagnostic connector terminals D1-5 and D1-6. Be sure to pinch off the fuel return line or most of the fuel will be returned to the fuel tank.

2003 Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa will not start cold

Hi, Paulrmevarez and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel cap or fuel tank is not venting properly.
2. Fuel filter clogged.
3. Fuel line pinched or kinked.
4. Vacuum line from the petcock to intake manifold cracked.
5. Float needle and seat sticking.
6. Float level too low.
7. Carburetor bowl vent line clogged/blocked/pinched.
8. Idle adjusting screw set too low.
9. Air/fuel mixture screw set too lean.
10. Idle port, transfer ports, slow air jet clogged.
11. Slow fuel jet clogged.
12. Faulty fuel pump.

I have a 1999 GMC YUKON. About a year ago I broke down in snowshoe WV the fuel pump was bad so after I installed new fuel pump this problem has occurrence ever sense. At a stop light it bucks bogs and...

Check the Oxygen sensors, as they control gas to air ratio. By spider do you mean the Coil Pack? Cam Sensor and Crank sensor? What about a vacuum leak?

You are going to cuss me for this but, according to your description, this did not occur BEFORE you changed the pump, and you have changed it twice. Are you sure you hooked up the external tank and EVAP lines correctly? Are any of the rubber hose's under there rotten? The EVAP system use's vacuum to pull fumes from the gas tank. The EVAP canister is probably behind one of the rear wheels, and up behind the rear fender. Check those hose's too. Check the intake manifold vacuum lines and connectors for leaks and cracks. Better yet, inspect all your vacuum lines.

the fuel line leaving tank to the box is your fuel pump,it may not be working, take the line from the tank to pump and check to see if you have fuel flow through that line,if you do reconnect it and disconnect line leaving box to carb, push start button to see if you have fuel from pump,if not, check to see if there is a vacuum line connected to pump,it may be vacuum operated, you can also just run the fuel line from tank straight to carb to see if it will start, then you will know if its your fuel pump.

2004 KIA TROUBLE WITH START UP AFTER FILLING UP WITH GAS

The fuel filter may be at the end of it life time and need to be replace. I believe the fuel filter is under the battery bolted to the frame rail. Its a cylinder shape with a fuel line on both end with quick connect fittings. IN the fuse box, remove the fuse to the fuel pump or the fuel pump relay with the engine running, this will depressurize the fuel line. The fuel line on the filter are quick connect fittings, depress the tab's on the fuel line and push towards the filter and the line should just pop off. If you find it to hard to depress the tabs, use a pair of pliers. But be careful not to damage the fuel line. Install the new filter, place fuse or relay back in for the fuel pump. start the engine and look for leaks. If the check engine light came on, disconnect the battery to clear the light, but make sure the radio is turned off before you disconnect the battery for 5 min. Reconnect and everything should be good to go. Hope this helps. keep me posted.

Fuel line connections coming from fuel pump on 1999 Chevy S10 4cy

Id say the fastest way to find out which line is the pressure side is to put both lines into a bucket and turn the key on for a second. the pressure line will have fuel coming out of it...other is the return line.
