Has to be the horn button doesn't it? With the switch on, do you get power to one side of the horn button? If you do, that proves it is the button and not the key switch.

Net I'll open the switch and jump the connection and see of it works. It is only a year old and has not been used much. But who knows, it was a cheapo. The lights do work. I bought a large pack of the 14 amp fuses so I don't worry when I blow another,

SOURCE: vehicle: 2004 chevy silverado problem: when

As long as you did not have to go into the dash to splice those wires, I would say that you have either a Tempreture door that is Broken, or the actuator that controls the passenger side temp. door is bad. Most likely cause will be the actuator, because they have a very high failure rate. The actuator is located is located on the very top of the a/c-heater box behind the radio and a/c control head. It will be rather hard to change because every thing fits so tight. But if you remove the radio and the A/c control head you should be able to find it. Let me know if you need further assistance.

Lift the tank. Underneath it you'll find a plastic connector block joining loads of wires together. Turn the ignition on and push this connector block together, or twist it around a bit. If the ignition sequence starts, it'll be because the wires in the connector block are corroded. Moving the block sometimes makes a temporary fix, but ultimately it'll happen again until the block or the wiring harness ideally, is replaced.

My horn doesn't work(my bike's horn). Press the button, but no sound, is it an easy fix/replacement? 1998 Honda Deauville 650.

To fix your horn is easy, there are some excellent pills out there.
The bikes horn though is different, you will need a small test light or multy meter,
Check if there is power to the wire plugged onto the horn, ignition on
The horn needs direct power to one terminal, and the other terminal shorts to earth through the button.
If there is power and the other wire connects to earth, when the button is pressed you probably need a new horn( not that expensive)
If there is no power check the fuse
If the second wire doesnt connect to earth when the button pressed there may be a problem in the handle switch.
There can also be a problem in the wiring if it has been damaged in the steering stop etc
Sometimes the horn can just be stuck and a small tap on the horn with the button pressed can start it.
If the horn button it a bit corroded in the contacts, hold it in and wiggle it a bit, can clear the corrosion.

Sometime easier to just check the fuse then buy a new horn, before chasing down the wires and switches

Just put in a new Battery thinking it would solve my no power issue. I've tried everything, New battery, tightened all wire adapters, checked all fuses (good) but it still does not get any power. Lights...

first check the kill switch located on right side handle bar and make sure it is in the run position. if that checks out then connect a wire from the + side of the battery to the headlight fuse then the bike should start, if it still wont crank use a screwdriver to cross the solinoid terminals and start your bike. this is a temporary fix called "hot wire" and should at least get you riding again.

I have a 96 explorer xlt v6 has alarm that works thru the horns. the horns quit working checked fuses in dash no burnt ones looked for horns or horn under hood could not locate where they were. doug

The horns are located on the left side of the radiator
support. To check them, use a jumper wire from the
+post on the battery unplug the horn and touch the
wire to the horn contact. If it toots check the horn relay in the power dist. box on the left fender. Also
check fuse #4 a 20amp fuse in the same dist box.
But if the horn won't toot replace the horn. If none of
the things I've mentioned pan out. You can get back
to us and we'll dig a little deeper. Good luck.

You might try to check the horn first by shortcircuiting it ( two leads from the battery.) If the horn itself works , find your way up: check with your contact switched on, the wires that lead to the horn by using a small light bulb or an Voltmeter: if you push the horn button, the licht should go on or the voltmeter should read 12 v.. If not , check the horn switch itself, there could be some corrosion. Good luck , allways a puzzle , the electricity..

Horn is not working, replaced rely and fuse is good

The horn is grounded to the cars frame work so run a wire to the horn direct from the positive side of the battery to test it. I doubt if it will work if everything else was replaced. If you receive no toot replace the horn

Horn does't work n 2000 suburbun

Most systems have a horn, a relay, a fuse, and a switch inside the steering wheel. If you can find the horn, usually in the front behind the grille or next to the radiator, you can jump it directly from the battery with two heavy wires to see if it works. If it does not toot with power directly from the battery it is bad. If it does toot then find where the fuses/relays are by reading your owner's manual and replace the horn relay and/or fuse. Relays are generally plugged into the fuse panel too. You can visually inspect the fuse for failure. If no problem there then you are at the steering wheel disassembly and testing level which means special tools and knowledge. Due to airbag even a veteran shade tree mechanic will not venture into a steering wheel so dealer is indicated.

sounds like this is a safety system so your bic will only start when the clutch is pulled in dont know any other reason to have a switch on the clutch. you can probably defeat the switch by connecting the two wires together jim
