Question about kawasaki ZL 900 A1 Eliminator Motorcycles
1986 zl 600 eliminator. Quits while driving. Sometimes, it will back fire and start back up. Other times you need to pull over and wait a couple minutes before it will start again. Must be something electrical. Where's a good place to start?
I had a similar problem. Mine would continue running, but it felt like it dropped cylinders. Sputtered, backfires...etc. Check your ignitor box (under the seat, attached to the rear fender. Start the bike up to operating temp, and if it does the problem, the tech that fixed mine squeezed the ignitor box, and it returned to normal. Got a new one checking salvage yards online.
