Question about 1998 GMC Jimmy
The low beams don't come on. Dash lights running lights and high beams all work fine. Looking for a switch or relay but don't know where to look
Will you low beams come on if you move the steering wheel all the way up? Mine will come on with the steering wheel all the way up and then I can move back down and every thing is fine.

There is a headlight relay in the engine compartment fuse box, but its after the headlight switch and before the dimmer switch, so it powers both high and low beam circuits.
I would check the dimmer switch.

SOURCE: no headlights on both sides
How did you check the relays? The most common reason for low beams to be out is Relay #46 in the underhood fuse panel.

SOURCE: both low bean headlights do not turn on high beams

SOURCE: Low Beam headlights don't work. High Beam work
hi from uk provided you have checked bulbs are ok? then this fault may be the relay for the low /dipped beam has gone faulty if you check h/book you may find location of low beam relay there is relay for high and one for low beams if you find both relays ? try switching? this will confirm relay fault if you then have low beam but no high ? b4 you buy new relay other than tis the other possible fault may be the actual di/high beam stick control ?
