Question about 2001 Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa

2001 Suzuki GSX 1300 R Hayabusa error code C41

After filling up with momentum99 my bike started to splutter, the next time I tried to start it, it wouldn't fire up. Tried the obvious f1 light is flashing. It's a code c41 error. If I bypass the ECM/ECU the bike will start so do I need to replace the ECM/ECU. Or is it dodgy fuel? @

Hi, Tommo for this scenario you will need your service manual that has all fastener torque specs and a wiring diagram on the back pages, parts fiche, and owners manual if you can't find the best tool you ever bought for your Suzuki, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one.

The FI light is letting you know there is a problem with the Fuel Injection system on the bike. You will most likely need to take it to the dealer and have them diagnose it with their computer. You can check your fuses and make sure they are intact, but most likely dealership problem.

SOURCE: suzuki gsxr k6 600 fuel injectors problems

The display is really FI as in Fuel Injection. The fuel injection computer has sensed a fault in the Injection system. You will need to ride the bike to a dealer and have them read the fault codes. It is probably just something minor. Major faults will not allow the bike to run. You will not hurt the bike if you ride it.

Can I get a “very helpful” rating on this answer?

Sounds like you have a problem with the computer or the FI system on the bike. That is what the (F)uel (I)njection is on for.

flassed less engine power wth????????? Flashed reduced engine power ! Electronic throttle control problem ! Your best bet ,take it to a GM dealer , buick , cadillac , GMC . You do not have diagnostic test equipment or knowledge to even diagnose this.

I have a 2006 hayabusa it turns over but wont start

Hello,
Assuming that the bike is stock with no modifications, the first thing to try is to sit on the bike and lift the side stand up to the riding position. If the bike starts then you may have a problem with the side stand switch or the clutch lever switch.
Has the bike been sitting for a long time? Does the fuel smell stale?
Please try the side stand procedure and then contact me back.

Aprilia habana cutting out and starting problems

Did you clean the pilot & main jets in the carb & set the float height to standard? There is also an over flow in the carb which should stop fuel flooding into the air filter - did you check?
Make sure there are no splits in the fuel pipes & the smaller vacuum pipe that goes from the side of the auto fuel tap, also check pipes connect well
By your description it sounds like the carb is filling very slowly, 1 bowlful would get you around 2 miles & then plug would be dry when trying to start it, leaving it overnight the carb would fill up & flood air filter due to a leaky fuel tap

Ride safe

the only other things I can think of mate without looking, is put your hand over the silencer at tickover (when engine cold) and see if the the exhaust is blowing from somewhere. A new gasket should sort that. If you dropped it on the timing cover side it might be worth a look in there to see if there is any damage.
good luck
