To fix your horn is easy, there are some excellent pills out there.
The bikes horn though is different, you will need a small test light or multy meter,
Check if there is power to the wire plugged onto the horn, ignition on
The horn needs direct power to one terminal, and the other terminal shorts to earth through the button.
If there is power and the other wire connects to earth, when the button is pressed you probably need a new horn( not that expensive)
If there is no power check the fuse
If the second wire doesnt connect to earth when the button pressed there may be a problem in the handle switch.
There can also be a problem in the wiring if it has been damaged in the steering stop etc
Sometimes the horn can just be stuck and a small tap on the horn with the button pressed can start it.
If the horn button it a bit corroded in the contacts, hold it in and wiggle it a bit, can clear the corrosion.

Sometime easier to just check the fuse then buy a new horn, before chasing down the wires and switches

Make sure your side stand switch isn't failing. It's made to stall the engine so you won't ride with the stand down.
Shut it off when going into neutral, it should go in smooth, if all is well.

It's one of these things: The battery. Especially if you're still using the original one, which is now almost 10 years old. The charging system. Or the starter relay.
Even if your battery isn't 10 years old, if it has sat for more than a month or so without being charged, then it is toast. A fully charged 12 volt battery should show about 13.5 volts on a volt meter.
If the battery is good, then you will need to find out if the charging system is working. To do this, you will need an ampere meter capable of reading up to 10 amps. Start the engine and THEN hook the amp meter in series between the battery (either side) and the cable going to the battery. With the engine revved up to around 4,000 RPM, the charging system should be putting out at least 5~6 amps.
If it isn't the charging system or the battery, check for a bad starter relay (the thing that makes that buzzing sound when you hit the starter button). Perform this test by bridging across the two large cable connections on the top of the relay with a large screwdriver. If the starter spins when you do this, then you've got a faulty starter relay. If the starter doesn't spin, then you've got a bad starter motor or a bad electrical connection going to it.

If you are starting the bike, warming it up, and shutting it off, You have probably fouled out the spark plugs. When I worked at a dealership we stopped the practice of starting up the cycles for potential buyers because each bike would foul out 3,4,even 5 sets of plugs before it was delivered just because people wanted to hear it run.

It was designed like that to allow for a more even burn of fuel across the area of ignition.
