Time for carb cleaning , blow the jets with compressed air, check the float level.
Check the spark plug and replace if neccessary.
Check the air filter too, and if you don't have an 'inline' filter for your fuel line, install one.
Basically yr bike's engine needs a tune up...check the valve clearance too!
Hope this helps!

Hi, Jason parts swapping is common with most motorcycles when it comes to interchangeable or compatible parts from one model with another "EXCEPT" for the CDI's they are year-make-model "SPECIFIC" the best thing to do is call your local Dealership Parts Department or a reputable independent shop. If your location is not near a shop then go online and find a parts catalog or "FICHE" and match part numbers depending on your criteria.

Hi, Jwtc_1987 before testing any electrical component in the Starter System it is "IMPERATIVE" that you have a fully charged battery of 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage, the battery is faulty and must be replaced. AGM type batteries fall into this scenario more so than lead-acid batteries. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test while checking cables with an ohmmeter.
Below is a quick and easy test to see if your battery is in good condition or needs Last Rites and must be replaced.
1. Make sure the bike is in "NEUTRAL"
2. Disconnect the spark plug cables.
3. Adjust voltmeter to DC volts 20-volt range
4. Place the voltmeter leads to the battery terminals.
5. Turn the run/off switch to run.
6. Turn the ignition switch on and press the starter button if the starter still "CLUNKS" see # 10
7. Watch the voltmeter as your engine turns over for 10 seconds.
8. If the voltage drops below 9.6 volts, the battery is faulty and must be replaced I "HIGHLY" recommend a maintenance free AGM battery they typically have more amperage for cranking.
9. Reconnect the spark plug cables if your battery is good and the bike starts ok, place the voltmeter leads on the battery and rev the engine to a steady 2500 RPM the voltmeter should read 14.5 volts DC anything in the 13's or less you have a charging issue that needs to be diagnosed and repaired.
10. Your battery may be ok, but the starter motor is not, usual suspects are worn/broken brushes, bad armature or faulty field coils, have it tested by a professional.

Do you get anything at the push button? Might be worth checking the condition of the battery, the starter solenoid, the main fuse and the starter itself as this sounds like an electrical issue. See if you can get the battery tested 'under load' as the cold can make old batteries sluggish.
