SOURCE: the low beams on my 2006 buick lacrosse wont work the bulbs and fuses have been replaced but they still wont work

Shannon, you did not state if you checked for voltage at the fuse location-or better yet at the bulb location-
If a connection at the relay that feeds power to the low beams has come loose, then the low beams will stay out. Suggest that you locate the headlight relay (in a box under the hood) and verify that it is operating. If an assistant can operate the headlights while you listen (and feel) for relay operation, then you can eliminate that as an issue. Next would be the output of the relay (contacts could be bad) - and if you cannot open the relay to verify good contacts, then purchase a replacement relay (possibly from a junkyard) and plug that in.

Remember, the relay supplies the power to the headlights.

I have a 1998 dorango, the high beam works but low beam doesn't, I replaced the dimmer switch, and checked bulbs still no low beam

Are you getting voltage to the socket on low beam? If not work back from there, check the ground for good contact, how did you check the bulbs? Sometimes when one goes the jump in current causes the other one to burn out. Try flipping the wires from high beam to low beam and they should come on then. So that would eliminate the bulbs. So figure out why voltage is getting to high and not low by working from the front back

One low beam head lights will not work, high beam works though

check for a damaged wire for the low beam. Also wouldn't hurt to check the ground wire as the high beam will try and ground through the low beam but not visa verse

The low-beam headlights don't work. The fuses are fine as I replaced them with those of the high-beams and the high-beams worked. Other than both bulbs burning out at the same time what else could be...

Possibly the bulbs. Take a look at them; they have 2 coils per bulb, one for the low beam and one for the high beam. So it is possible that the more used low beam burns out before the lesser used high beam.

i think im right in saying the low beam bulbs are twin filament(low and high beam in one)and the main/high beam are single filament(spotlights).

its probally the bulb........alot of car headlights are DUAL element meaning one bulb has 2 little elements inside one for low beam one for high beam...............Most times the low beam burns out because its used more.....get it one bulb gives both high and low beams.......REPLACE bulb......if you don't know what kind go to auto part store, tell them the make of your car and they will give you the right one .....
