I think the fans do that, but engine probably needs a crank sensor if it has one.

SOURCE: Both radiator fans on my 2002 Toyota Solara V6 run constantly

Check to see if the radiator fan relay has gone bad and needs to be replaced. Once you located the relay, (in the fuse box under the hood) Try swapping it out with another relay and see if the fans stop, if the fans stop working with the swapped relay, replace the relay. It's know for the relays when they go bad to stick and will have a close loop. Good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to help you get your car running 100% again soon.

Hey guys..i need your help i'm driving a 2002 model 1AZ engine toyota noah..it started by cutting as if im running out of petrol then the engine stops nd it couldn't start at all till now...so we have...

You need 3 things to start an engine: spark, fuel and compression. Assuming the compression is ok, you've lost either spark or fuel. try spraying some starting ether into the intake hose and try starting it. If it starts for a moment, you have a fuel issue. If not, you may have a bad ignition coil.

Engine vibrations and overheating TOYOTA Noah 2003 1AZ ENGINE

Hallo on Toyota 1AZ vibration is usually caused by damanged engine mountings and the heating problem is caused by the clot of rust that accumulates on the temperature sensor it makes the fans come in late

I have 2006 Toyota Noah how long should my radiator fan run

I am not familiar with your model, but the "rule of thumb" is :
The radiator fan "to cool the engine" will run until the engine temperature has cooled sufficiently to allow the temperature sensor to kick off.
(That temperature sensor is screwed into the engine block.)
This may be as little as a minute to as many as 5-8 minutes.
If your car had air conditioning, that would be yet another fan, that should run only when the air conditioning is turned on.

It overheats after a continuous drive of about 100kms

There are items you need to check.
1. Is the cooling system losing coolant. If so the engine will overheat and you need to find the location of the leak. It may be internal to the engine or an external leak from a hose, a water pump seal or a crack in the radiator or a failing radiator cap.

2. Is the electric radiator fan coming on when the engine coolant temperature increases? If the coolant is getting hot the fan or fans should be running. If not your need to detect the cause of the fan not starting .

3. You may have a partial blockage in the radiator with a build up of debris which is slowing coolant flow through the radiator or a partial blockage in the cooling jackets in the engine. Coolant needs to be removed from the engine every few years, the radiator flushed out and then new coolant is added to the system.

Toyota noah problems, my engine can not start,it is a 1AZ engine 2002, it started by overheating. I suspected it was the thermostat which we removed but still continued, i thought it was the temperature...

If it already started I don`t how it could be the memory from the computer.Start from the beginning make sure u have fuel, then check to make sure u have spark and compression in the engine. If u have all three it should start the computer should not effect your engine starting.
